Taj is 14 years old and registered with AHA. She was not worked as a young horse, being trained later in life, As a result, she has no signs of arthritis or any other performance-reducing physical problems.

At 13.2 hh, Taj is compact, but don’t let her size fool you; she’s made of steel! She has great stamina, a lovely disposition, Lvl 2 PNH training and lots of rugged trail experience.  She’s never worn shoes and has great feet. She has a good health record, as well. Taj loads, ties, bathes, stands for vet and farrier, works on a line, and is generally tolerant of anything you ask. She also loves to jump and has easily cleared obstacles as high as 3 feet and as wide as 5. Taj would make a great partner for an experienced youth or adult competitor.

Taj is currently under training as a youth prospect for jumping and combined training. Some of the photos below are from her first two outings in the show world. The proof pics are from a CT show Taj and Karri Stricklin attended as non-competitors. They played around on the XC course and just generally got used to the show environment. Taj handled herself with poise and confidence.

Taj and Karri attended their first show as competitors on 10-16-2001. They competed in Beginner Amoeba and 18” Show Jumper. They came home with a blue in their CT class, a red in the jumper class, and Reserve Champion for the all the CT classes. What a great way to start out! Karri will continue to work with Taj over the winter and coming spring, and will be showing in the 2012 season.
