Elizabeth working on breakfast Saturday morning

Once again, Robin finds herself saddling up BEFORE dawn...

And in the background, we see something resembling daybreak.

Almost summer at Biltmore ride

Robin and Sylvia competed in this ride at the historic venue of the Biltmore estate in Asheville, NC. This was a very well attended ride, and there were 43 riders in the Novice division. We rode a total of 40 miles over 2 days.

Elizabeth Thomasson from Wilsonville, AL, trailer pooled with us and brought her TWH, Indy. We met her long-time friend and fellow NATRC competitor, Cindy Keen and her QH, Fly. We all shared camp duties, food and some great company. Robin took 6th place in horsemanship, and Sylvia took 1st place for condition. Both awards were very welcome in light of the competition.

All in all, the experience was well worth the drive, and we would love to get a group together one day to go spend a casual riding weekend at the estate.
