joye—for sale                   $5,600

Joye has a wonderful, sweet disposition, and with her smooth gaits, is a pleasure to ride. She has not been in the show ring, but has competed successfully in NATRC Competitive Trail.

A prized mare by Baske-Tu, Joye produced her first foal in 1998. Cut Above is a chestnut colt with a white mane and tail. Very upright with great movement and personality. See picture below.

Joye has produced seven foals, all very correct and athletic. Two of her colts, Flash’s Last Dance and Patrick, were recently at Bridlewood for training. They both proved incredibly sensible, friendly, playful and athletic. Patrick showed himself to be so down-to-earth that he took a nine-year-old child out on the trail just two months after being put under saddle and was a perfect gentleman. These boys are great examples of the kind of foals Joye produces.

Baske-Tu was 1970 Canadian Reserve National Champion Stallion and 1974 Scottsdale Champion English Pleasure. Sire of numerous National Champions, he was considered one of the top siring *Bask sons. His daughters are highly sought out, as they have produced such National Champions as ALADA BASKIN and FIRE-AN-ICE, both chestnuts siring flaxen coloring. Joye has proven she will follow in these footsteps, producing this coloring with her first foal. Don’t miss this opportunity to purchase this Baske-Tu daughter for your broodmare.
